The Soul and Spirit Does exist!!
by JamesG ini saw an earlier post on one persons anguish over contemplating whether the soul and spirit in our bodies truly exists.

SPIRIT OR SOUL, DO THEY SURVIVE WITH INTELLIGENCE AFTER DEATH? Ezekial 18:4 says that the soul that is sinning will die, and Ecclesiastes 9:5 says the dead are unconscious, which would seem to prove that the human soul or spirit does not continue living after death and hold consciousness. However, even though true that people body's of imperfect flesh die, might the energy-like spirit of that person go from being unconscious to a state of consciousness as the following points also appear to show. At least as you start reading this you may equate soul to the fleshly body with energy-like spirit to move it akin to a battery being charged to live by electricity, and you may equate spirit as that energy- or electricity-like substance that may be inside and moving a body or else gone free from a body back to God who decides its ultimate destiny.
First note that at Matthew 10:28 Jesus Christ speaks of both the body and the soul which shows they are different. At John 8:56 Christ says "Abraham your father rejoiced greatly in the prospect of seeing my day, and he saw it and rejoiced." Since Abraham died centuries before Jesus said this, how could Jesus say that Abraham "saw it and rejoiced" unless his spirit was resurrected and did see and rejoice over Jesus? At times the word for soul clearly can also refer to not just the fleshly body but also mean spirit by itself. For example Isaiah 14:9-17 says that Sheol, the Hebrew word for the condition of death which some translations also render as hell "become agitated," say things, and can see you. This passage also clearly shows that at least at some point during death the soul or spirit is given consciousness and acts intelligently.
Revelation 6:9-11 says that slain souls cry out, which might be metaphorical or symbolic since much of Revelation is symbolic but to be reasonable and honest it also might mean exactly what it says, that slain souls or the spirit which survived the dying of bodies can communicate. Although for example Genesis 35:18 says the soul goes out of a person, 1 Kings 17:21 Elijah asks that God please return a dead child's soul to its body, which request was granted. If a human has no spirit existing after death of the body, why did Stephen just before death pray for Jesus to "receive my spirit" (Acts 7:59), since it would not be possible for Jesus to receive Stephens spirit if Stephans human spirit ceased to exist after his body died? The fact that "living souls" is sometimes used in Genesis to speak of animals in no way diminishes the fact that soul is also used independently of fleshly bodies, more in referal to spirit which has been given back its intelligence.
Various verses tell us that the perfect Christ did have a conscious spirit or soul which survived death of his body and is now intelligent in heaven. Revelation speaks of a symbolic or literal 144,000 spirit beings and or myriads and myriads of angels who are beings acting intelligently and housed not in flesh but spirit. So, yes, soul or spirit does survive death and is intelligent or definitely can become so again if and when God so wills it. If this seems hard to believe then imagine what a person born in 1850 would think about modern television on which the moving images and voices of deceased movie stars such as Elvis, Lucy, Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne are "resurrected." Or what he would think of modern cloning. For more free, emailed Bible literature: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jahchristian http://groups.yahoo.com/group/reformjwsandfriends -

Concerning Violence
by metatron ini'm glad to see open frank discussion on the subject of violence within - or caused.

As to elders being violent, some in Canada, not just Ireland, have also hit with their fists. Some themselves and with help from others will go up to someone and tap them on the back then jump on away.
I've know them to stick their hand in a person's back while the person was standing trying to pray at the kingdom hall. Another harassment method is to thump you hard about the collar bone. And the one that takes the cake is where an elder gets you off by yourself or with just another elder around then he pushes you down right after saying "I'm getting the strangest feeling."
I once read a website where a man said he believed his two boys had been murdered to keep it shut up because of a JW (elder?) was a pedophile. I think Kent Steinhaug had it a long time on observer.org and am going to try to re-find it. Anyone know where it is?

I did read what you wrote.Feel free to continue speaking with me of this pain at [email protected]. I will put you and all involved in my prayers.May Jah bring you greater comfort and an easing of the mind which for you now is as a fever. May my own words be soothing like a cool breeze on a summer day that has been a bit too hot. Such things are so senseless and tragic. We feel helpless at times; yet God will eventually see that all is righted, and for now we have each other to give comfort. Many blessings ahead, dear one who has pain.

Elders on the edge of Violence
by i8emallup inas i read one letter from a judicial committee, which letter accused an individual of expressing violent thoughts about an unpunished.
child molester, i remembered 2 incidents where elders had revealed violent attack fantasies.. the po of my former congregation in wall, nj told me that he would like to "beat [a certain disfellowshipped wife of an elder] out .
of her chair" when she appeared at the kingdom hall.. .

The adjective which Hillary Step (another poster) would use for this is "intriguing." Yes, I have heard JW elders express a desire to beat people to death or near it. Anyone dissenting from their pro-pedophile dark policies is an evil "apostate." They say the methods justify the means and end results, which is mentally unbalanced thinking.
Tell us more of what you know, and maybe more of us will step forward. One of their harassment techniques is to on their own and by involving others in the congregations, have people to go up to, tap on the back of a targeted JW then jump on away. There's a scripture that speaks of expelling the demons with one's finger. It's a "tried-and-true" adult on adult molestation tactic used among other cults too.

Pending Tragedy for the WTS and JWs
by Lee Elder inpending tragedy for the wts and jws.
the heavy-handed tactics of the leaders of the watchtower society have begun to bear rotten fruit.
i suspect that it is just a matter of time before the need arises to coin some phrase to describe disfellowshipped or disassociated jehovah's witnesses who bomb conventions, shoot up kingdom halls or even attack bethel facilities.. leaders of the wts (and local elders) should stop and think about the lessons to be learned from columbine high school, the postal service (i.e.

It's a "Spiritual Paradise" with "the happiest people" on earth for Pedophiles who love to rape innocent children!
I'll say again that with time I believe some of the current Governing Body members will also have it to come to light that they practice homosexuality or pedophilia the same as it has for Leo Greenlees in or about 1984.
If anyone reading this for a first time hasn't seen the threads on this, go to the top of the screen, click Search, set the search box for "past 1 year," enter keyword "Greenlees" then click for it to find the two main threads.
Now it's the turn of the courts to remedy the interstate racketeering via RICO act since the Watchtower Society plies its policies interstate, even worldwide.
That and peaceful informational demonstrations, leaving papers saying "Watchtower Pedophile Coverup: www.silentlambs.org" at convention sites, in or near kingdom halls, Randy's bumperstickers for the same etc will do it.

I was reading in a news index that there was an instance in the 1970 or early 1980s in which a bomb went off at Brooklyn Bethel headquarters but no one was injured. On this very board probably 1-2 years ago someone once posted that a young girl drove past a local kingdom hall and threw a bomb that however did not hurt anyone, and she was arrested. Someone asked me how do you know they try to infiltrate other groups to the top with a couple moles, and I believe the answer to that is that I was told about it by an older JW brother who may have phrased it something like "the Yahwehists/Dawnists sometimes send a couple people in to spy on our congregations and get people out, but we have our own Joshua-Calebs too." This was from a man not given to kidding in the least, and what he told me of other things also was true. Since then I have read on a couple discussion boards that the WTS also uses teams of two to monitor websites. In both Old and New Testaments two's are also spoken of not just with Joshua and Caleb but as when Christ said 70 disciples out in pairs. Peace.

I am 100% for only purely peaceful demonstrations. If any promote violence in anyway then we can say we begin to smell the Watchtower Society behind them, that they have only pretended to be against the WTS while actually being for it. The WTS routinely seeks to put two or more moles into various opposing groups.
Those stifle the other groups, delaying etc, and finally hinting at and or encouraging mentally unbalanced acts of violance etc so that the Watchtower can then turn around and say "HOW TERRIBLE. SEE, THERE THEY GO, PERSECUTING US AGAIN! WE'RE GOOD. THEY'RE BAD. SEE!"
Well, it won't work. We're on to you. We who truly oppose the WTS will do so peacefully using only the Sword of the legally established courts, their police and agencies such as the FBI.
If anything bad ever did happen then let it be known in advance here and now that it was a set-up by the Watchtower Society itself to engender sympathy for themselves even while children are raped by pedophiles and led to bleed to death by those same WTS heads.

Is There a New Ex-JW?
by TMS inthis quote from another thread:.
mr. brumley "the worst thing for us is a well educated balanced former witness" they are used to the foaming at the mouth rabid apostates of years past.
they do not know what to do with reasonable well spoken individuals like you.. .

They do not want former JWs who can organize anti-Watchtower Society Bible Study groups that still love Jehovah. They don't mind exJWs who are not good at speaking, maybe mentally unbalanced, atheists or pagans, who use foul language and the like. But when people who exit the WTS remain articulate, capable and highly credible, e.g. Bill Bowen, then that scares them.
Ray Franz did them much damage after they kicked him off their Governing Body because he spoke up for reforms by his clearly communicating many of their wrongs in his two books, but it was fortunate to them that he did not care to organize an alternative. All the same, Free Christian groups do now exist and are becoming increasingly better organized.
That and the lawsuits which the WTS is going to have to pay out on rightly scares the little old boys in Brooklyn. Isn't that right, Henschel and Company.
